Venus is the second closest planet to the sun. For Venus, a whole year would only last 262 earth days. Venus has an atmosphere mainly composed of carbon dioxide. Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system even though mercury is closer to the sun because when heat goes through Venus's atmosphere, it gets trapped inside of the clouds and the carbon dioxide atmosphere (Greenhouse effect). The surface of Venus is about 460 degrees Celsius and has no moons.
